It's a New Day, It's a New Year

As my title states, it is a new day, and what I hope to accomplish is that I will blog more than I did last year. Actually, I want to try for one a week, even if they are small. I have so much stuff inside my head and feel that I need to find my voice-hopefully, this is it. I have had the please of becoming addicted to twitter and many people on there. The insight into reading, writing and education in general is far beyond what I ever thought I would process.

I have picked that name tweaverville because I received a road sign-weaverville-that hangs in my classroom. My ning site, and e-mail account are titled the same so students can access me and class information whenever they need. I am hoping that the school district will see the light and realize that social media is not a part of the dark side and can be used for good.

With that, I will go work on the rest of my handouts and attachments.

Don't forget to read out loud! And with intention!

What To Do...

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
